Thank you for helping us preserve New London's history!
With all of us pitching in, we'll have the foundation we need to meet our preservation goals for 2019:
- Rehabilitate 23 Franklin Street, built c. 1845 by Edward Hempstead and the former home of civil rights icon Linwood Bland, Jr.
- Present options for protecting our downtown waterfront from rising sea levels.
- Offer a walking tour focused on East New London.
- Work with city officials and staff to strengthen protections for New London's historic character.
- Highlight New London's civil rights movement of the 1960's with a program on Linwood Bland, Jr.
- Offer a forum for city council candidates to present their views on historic preservation and economic development.
Thank you for making our work possible and for being a part of the New London Landmarks family!
